Since its inception in 1978, Global Partners has been working in the East African countries of Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda; focusing in large part on education to curb the the spread of AIDS. In 2005, it is estimated that the epidemic claimed the lives of 2 million people throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. Global Partners is committed to assisting the victims of HIV/AIDS and their families.
Alongside the physical contributions of building hospitals and clinics, sponsoring education and testing programs, is a deep belief that also helping communities to rebuild is vital. The groups assisting Global Partners all have strong community support and commitment towards their project; such as, developing clean water sources, building schools, scholarships for girls’ education and training women in business.
Donations made by Swahili on your behalf will be used to bolster projects like the Godber Village Clinic in Kenya which provides outreach services to remote communities, increasing knowledge about HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment. For more information, please visit www.gpfd.org.
