A beautiful textile crafted by artisans in Mali. Bogolan, or mudcloth, as it is commonly called, is a durable cotton textile of the Bamana people of Mali. Bogolan is woven in strips on a loom, then dyed using a complicated process involving fermented mud. The end result is a beautiful textile that can be worn as a scarf or used as a table runner. West African sand-cast glass beads decorate the fringe.
