Leslie picked up this lovely beaded necklace from Oumar Cisse's bead museum, called Farafina Tigne (Bambara for African Reality) in Mopti, Mali. Featuring a vibrant medley of glass and antique clay trade beads, this is a beautiful example of the Bambara penchant for brilliant adornments that recall Mali's significance in the old days of the trade caravan.
