The Dogon Fusion collection celebrates motifs found throughout Dogon villages in the cliffs of Mali's Bandiagara Escarpment. Beautiful carved doors embellish each Dogon home and granary, and the characters and designs carved in relief on their surface hold special meaning for their owners.

 

Interpreted in beautifully grained Appalachian cherry, the precision of each  carved piece diverges from the unsystematic hand carved nature of traditional Dogon carving, underscoring the potential for a new wave of modernization in African art and design.
