African Banana Fiber and Calabash Gourd Last Supper

Kenyan artisans offer a unique take on a Christian last supper by placing it inside a calabash gourd. The front of the gourd, which is affixed with elastic band to cowrie shells, removes to reveal a diorama of Christ and his disciples inside.

Because calabash gourds are a totally organic item, shapes will vary.
