Shipping Cost
The following table outlines our shipping charges for UPS ground, our standard delivery system:

Standard Delivery
We ship via United Parcel Service (UPS) standard delivery to destinations in the continental United States. Orders destined for Canada, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, The Virgin Islands, Saipan, APOs and FPOs are shipped via United States Postal Service Priority Mail. We regret that we are unable to ship to P.O. boxes.

International Shipping
Orders shipping to locations outside the continental United States are subject to additional USPS Global Priority delivery fees. Upon ordering, a shipping quote is emailed to international customers. You may choose to cancel the order if you are not comfortable with the shipping cost.

Express Delivery
Express Delivery can be arranged on an individual order basis. Some oversize items are not available for express delivery, and overnight delivery is not available to some rural addresses. To arrange express shipment and receive a quote for expedited shipping and handling charges, please call (541) 684-0688 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Pacific time to make arrangements with our customer service department.

Additional Charges for Oversize Items
Due to the size of certain items, additional shipping and handling charges are listed in parentheses next to the item’s price. The amount is added to the Standard Delivery Shipping and Handling Charges above.


BACKORDERS
Should any merchandise be unavailable when you order, the item(s) will be placed on back order and scheduled for delivery upon arrival from Africa. You will not be charged for items on back order until they are shipped. We will email you a notice outlining the back ordered merchandise and the expected arrival time. If you do not wish to receive delayed shipments, please indicate in a reply email.


RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Notice of Distinctiveness: We are proud of the level of quality our producers and artisans uphold. However, all of our items are handmade, and unique variations from the item pictured occasionally occur. Please keep in mind the unique nature of your purchase when evaluating a product for a return or exchange; for example, we do not consider slight variations in color and pattern valid reasons for returns.

Return Policy: If you are completely unsatisfied with the product(s) you receive, we will accept returned merchandise within 30 days from the purchase date. Please email info@swahili-imports.com to request a Return Confirmation Number (RCN) and receive instructions for returning your merchandise. We will not provide refunds for merchandise returned without an RCN.

Once we have received approved returned merchandise, a full refund of the merchandise cost will be applied to your credit card. Items damaged in return transit due to improper packaging will not be refunded. We will send you a confirmation email once the returned merchandise has been received at our warehouse.
 
Exchange Policy: Items can be exchanged for merchandise of the same or greater value. Please email info@swahili-imports.com to arrange your exchange.

DAMAGED MERCHANDISE
If your merchandise arrives damaged, please contact our customer service department within five (5) business days at info@swahili-imports.com or by phone at (541) 684-0688. Please keep all packaging materials and merchandise in the original box for UPS inspection. If the item can be replaced, you will be sent a replacement within 2-3 business days following the damage report.
